The Meeks Wedding

The Meeks Wedding celebrated the New York nuptials of Meghan and Billy. These two flew all the way from NYC to get married at Boulders very own St. Julien Hotel and Spa. The bride wore an all lace gown with a cream colored sash and long veil. The groom wore a black tux and a skull and crossbones bowtie. Their colors were Navy blue, white and gold. The couple had a very Kate Spade wedding with touches of gold polka dots in the most un expected places. Their cake done by Boulders Piece Love and Chocolate was gorgeous with a special touch for the groom with a little GI Joe peeking out of the bottom. The bakery also created a beautiful desert bar and a GI Joe themes grooms cake. How sweet it is right? The couple danced into the night to their live country band Premium Diesel. The groom, being a New York Fire Fighter, had a special surprise arrive during dinner when a firetruck showed up for Meghan to tie in the couples love for fire engines. The couples New York themed wedding was one for the books we wish the couple the best of luck!

Estes Park Wedding - Black Canyon Inn - Twin Owls - Colorado Mountain Wedding Venue.

Breanna and Jack

We met Breanna at the Boulder Wedding Showcase in January 2012 - two days after the show she hired us to plan her amazing wedding. She wanted it to be a fairytale, picturesque to showcase their beautiful Colorado to their friends.

Breanna and Jack were from Pensacola, FL. They fell in love with the Colorado mountains and wanted to showcase their love to all their friends and family.
We planned the wedding with Breanna for 18 months incorporating their love of beer by using growlers as for vases and table numbers were breweries in Denver and Boulder.

It was a perfect example of what happens when you recruit a planner - Breanna had so many ideas but bringing them together need the help of a professional. All the elements were familiar but when arranged with professional attention to detail, they are special. We worked closely with Breanna to create a wedding that was casual but refined.
We instantly knew that Fiori Flowers would be the perfect fit for Breanna and her vision. They outdid themselves.

"I am the one who proposed. Jack’s mother asked his father and I knew Jack was going to be asking me any time so I decided to take things into my own hands (Women can propose its 2013!!!). We went on a wonderful hike in the RMNP to the top of a waterfall. I packed sandwiches from one of our favorite sub shops, two shots of whiskey, and a moonstone. Fate would have it once we made it to our destination everyone left so we were completely alone for a good hour or so. We sat on the rocks and enjoyed the beautiful sunny day. Making a long story short, I told him how much he means to me and that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him. We cried, laughed, kissed and took a shot. I gave him a moonstone to put somewhere special because he gave me a beautiful moonstone promise ring before we moved from Florida to Colorado so that stone is special to us on many levels. I told him to not worry about a ring as we had our whole lives to get one. I wasn’t concerned with it because life is short and you have to enjoy the time you have with the ones you love. A ring is symbolic but it’s not the most important aspect of marriage. All in all, I wouldn’t want it any other way. Oh, just in case you were wondering he totally spoiled me and surprised me with a beautiful deep blue sapphire ring a couple of months later." – Breanna

The details:
  • “Our ceremony venue was picturesque. I didn’t walk down the aisle to any music. It was completely peaceful and quiet and wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. Many of our guests approached me after the ceremony and commented about how wonderful they thought it was that I didn’t walk down to any music because you could hear the rain in the distance over the mountains, the wind in the trees, and the birds singing to each other. It was truly calming and beautiful,” said Breanna.
  • Baby’s breath bundles were tied to each chair on the end of the aisle way. Flowers were everywhere, including a fun installation behind the sweetheart table and the chandeliers if you look carefully.
  • The beer growlers were collected by the couple from around the state and served as table numbers to direct the guests.
  • Books and teacups were among the other centerpiece decor. While this is not a completely new concept, the manner in which everything was arranged was incredible looking.
  • Generous portions of local jam from Puff’s Preserves were given as favors. These spreads are extra special as they are dosed with local libations for an added kick!

Are You Ready for the Most Romantic Day of the Year?
“Valentine greetings were popular as far back as the Middle Ages, though written Valentine's didn't begin to appear until after 1400. The oldest known valentine still in existence today was a poem written in 1415 by Charles, Duke of Orleans, to his wife while he was imprisoned in the Tower of London following his capture at the Battle of Agincourt.”-The History Channel
